When packing up an RV for a trip (or tear down afterward), it can be stressful to ensure you haven’t forgotten important steps. We created a re-usable & shared list in an app (AnyList) that allows us to check them off as we work together to pack up the RV to leave the campground! Here are the items on our list to help with yours. We actually also used this initially when unpacking too (just in reverse). I tagged some with ‘Kids’ below indicating some tasks where your younger travelers can help too!
Close ceiling vents & windows (Kids)
Clear counter-tops (Kids)
Sweep floors (slides scratch floors)
Turn off big electronics – AC/heater (Kids)
Switch fridge to propane or ‘Auto’
Strap/store screens
Stow pets (Kids)
Close slides/awnings (Kids)
Clear roof (satellite dish, sweep slides)
Store kingpin lock (Kids)
Store outside/porch stuff (Kids)
Disconnect/store hoses & power cables
Close & Lock doors/handrails/steps
Hookup tow(ed) vehicle (hitch, 7pin)
Pull-test & remove chock blocks
